01THE INTERVIEW
Buyers used to taste my coffee and name their price. This season, the coffee brings its own numbers to the table.
ANDRES CARDENAS, VEREDA LA ESPERANZA
Q.Tell us about the farm.

A meticulous estate in Huila, Colombia known for clean separations — each block picked, processed and rested as its own lot.

Q.What are you sending to the auction?

Caturra, washed process, grown at 1700–1950 m. Balanced Huila cup: panela sweetness, mild citrus and a nutty finish. A great volume lot for blends and batch brews.

Q.Who do you hope wins it?

A roaster who will put the farm's name on the bag and come back next season — the point of selling on evidence is building relationships that outlast one harvest.
