01THE INTERVIEW
“My grandfather sold on a handshake. I sell on a spectrum — and let the mountain do the talking.”
— GENET WOLDE, DAWABII WASHING STATION
Q.Tell us about the farm.
Genet's family has farmed Oromia, Guji, Ethiopia for generations, balancing tradition with a new appetite for measured, evidence-first processing.
Q.What are you sending to the auction?
Heirloom, washed process, grown at 2000–2300 m. Crisp washed Guji: lemongrass, black tea and delicate florals with a clean, sparkling finish.
Q.Who do you hope wins it?
A roaster who will put the farm's name on the bag and come back next season — the point of selling on evidence is building relationships that outlast one harvest.
