THE INTERVIEW
Introduce yourself and your farm.
My name is Jeniffer Madrid, and I am a fourth-generation coffee producer in my family. I own Finca El Rubí, which won first place in the Parainema Catracha category at the 2025 Honduras Cup of Excellence competition.
What coffee are you submitting to this auction?
Washed Parainema.
Why did you choose this lot?
I chose this lot to showcase the quality potential of the Parainema variety. Through careful selection of ripe cherries, controlled fermentation, and precise drying times on African raised beds, I aimed to enhance the sweetness and balance in the cup that are characteristic of this variety.

What do you want buyers to know about this coffee?
This coffee's cup profile is the result of careful control at every stage of processing. It represents dedication, heritage, culture, and love for my country.
What do you expect from this auction?
I hope to introduce the quality of my coffee to buyers around the world and continue improving my coffee production.
What do you hope your farm looks like in ten years?
I hope to continue showcasing the quality of Honduran coffee by growing and processing different coffee varieties, highlighting the unique characteristics of each through carefully controlled processing methods.
